Camp Read-a-Rama's 6-hour training prepares educators, librarians, and others who want to bring Camp Read-a-Rama's literacy-rich programs to their communities. This hands-on, interactive training walks attendees through the process of choosing diverse books and hands-on activities based on a theme, while giving you the experience of 100% engagement that campers get in the program. Modules on cultural competence and trauma-informed care and healing-centered practice will help participants frame the camp program for their diverse communities. Attendees will gain access to resources, such as sample camp schedules, suggested activities and activity templates, book lists, songs, and a comprehensive Site Directors' Manual.
